Thermomobil

As an alternative to the very expensive electric vehicles used in car-free resorts of Switzerland, DLM has built a "demonstrator of the principle" in a most simple way with existing components, and it works indeed. The energy is stored in a pressurized hot water drum. This method is common in fireless locomotives. Recharging is much faster then with electric batteries and life expectancy is virtually unlimited, quite unlike the one of battteries. Hot water can be produced with any form of energy (waste heat, biomass, solar energy and so on), so it can be free or cheap. The modern Pick-up is a light-weight design of the Swiss company Horlacher.
